Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Official Cake on Legs website and blog.

I am Mariana Mancellos, the baker behind Cake on Legs, and I am so excited to finally be able to share both my creations and my reviews on all the places to go when you just need that little sweet something.

I have always had a sweet tooth! I am not sure whether this is down to my Portuguese heritage – where the first thing we wake up to is a custard tart and a sugar topped espresso – or whether it is just down to being a greedy pig and having demanding taste buds.

So, like all people that have an interest, are slightly “overly” passionate, and are maybe border line obsessed about their subject, I am starting a little cake business and blogging about it all!

The aim is to produce bespoke cakes for those special occasions: be it a birthday, anniversary, graduation or wedding, where only a cake that is completely unique and handmade will do. I will make your cakes as beautiful or as ugly (check out the brain cake) as you wish them to be, and it will be as much my design as it will be yours!

For research purposes only, of course, I will also be posting secret little hideouts of where to eat sweet treats in London, stretching from East to West, and some random little spots I stumble upon during my travels. If you have any recommendations of places to visit and review, please do get in contact and I will be MORE than happy to give it a try!
